Stratford 27 is the realisation of a childhood dream: a brand new hair and beauty salon owned and operated by hairdresser Kelly Willett. Offering women’s hair services, beauty treatments, massage and nail care, Stratford 27 opened in Wolverton in 2018.
The Challenge
Owning a boutique hair and beauty salon had been Kelly’s dream since she was a child and so she had big plans, which included a stylish website full of plenty of features and functionality. She engaged Creative Goldfish and we immediately got to work.
Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, a lot of work had to be done to get the salon ready for opening. Suddenly, the salon was due to open within a week and the budget had run dry; Kelly had to make plans to adjust the website.
Now, Stratford 27 needed a quick budget website which looked attractive, included a list of services and linked to the in house booking system. The salon also needed GDPR documentation in order to comply with new rules and regulations.
The Solution
Creative Goldfish quickly pulled together a one page website which announced the opening of the salon and provided all of the necessary information, including a list of services.
We made sure that the website integrated directly with Stratford 27’s existing booking system using their APIs to speed up the development process. Given the short time frame, we used a rapid design methodology approach, allowing us to create the website in less than a week.
Creative Goldfish also made sure that Stratford 27 was fully complicit with GDPR by producing all of the relevant documentation and making recommendations to ensure compliance.
The Results
Stratford 27 now has an attractive website which is SEO optimised, appearing high in relevant searches and receiving a large volume of quality traffic. Customers have commented that they approve of the website, and that its professional appearance played a big part in their choice to book with the salon.
The website is linked with the booking system, so that customers cannot be double booked and the salon has to spend little time on the phone.
Stratford 27’s website has been so effective as a conversion tool that Kelly approached us to manage a Google Ads campaign to drive more traffic to the website. We will continue to expand the website as the business grows.
